Inside, the ST Cupra is exactly the same as the Cupra hatch.
Boot space weighs in at 587 litres, and expands up to 1,470 litres with the rear bench folded.

The Leon is mightily quick and responsive to drive.
There are several driving modes to choose from, with Cupra mode locking the limited-slip diff in its most aggressive setting.

The Leon will cover ground far quicker than the Ford Focus ST Estate.
The more focused set-up means a stiffer ride, and the VW Golf R is much more settled over harsh surfaces and imperfections where the Leon becomes flustered.

There are a few subtle clues as to the Leon's performance around the car.
The front end is just the same as the Cupra hatch, with deeper front bumper, full LED headlights and Cupra badges in the grille.
