The new third-generation Suzuki Swift hits UK shores this autumn with the Japanese carmaker holding its premier line off ceremony in its Esztergom, Hungary production plant.
With new developments in styling, performance and sharply lower emissions, the new Swift features a longer body and wheelbase that uses higher strength steel to make shell lighter and stiffer.
A new 1.2-litre petrol engine incorporates Dual VVT (variable intake and exhaust valve timing), which makes it a stronger, better-performing powertrain than the previous 1.3-litre. Another improvement over the previous model is the significantly lower fuel consumption at 56.5 mpg, while emissions are lowered to 116 g/km.
A 1.3-litre option will become available for the UK in early 2011, offering better emissions and fuel consumption, as well as handling and performance all at once.

Sorry to be picky, but it is certainly not the third generation Swift. It is the sixth!
Why not try something different with the styling - manufacturers really need to try harded and take risks. I'm sure their designers can be more creative than this.
Just like Mini it looks as though Suzuki have decided to keep the looks of the existing car with the brand new version. Not a bad thing as it looks good. Lets hope they did something about the reliability and quality of the interior on this version as the Swift has been the worst performing Japanese car in these areas.
I think you have gone too far but its great to style considering the last design that were available. There is great improvement on performance which i believe is a proper way to get to market.

Not much change here, what a pity!
This looks very similar to the current version but maybe thats no bad thing. The current model still looks fresh. Will there be a warmed over sport model?
This car is exactly what people wanted it to be, a new Suzuki Swift, but every little thing is a little bit better. Now little bits like the styling, now sharper and with better emissions, this is a real rival for other small cars.
