Uniquely, the Metro has three charge modes, with a wind-up dynamo alongside the mains and 12V options. The winder is hard work, but can be a quick fix for a flat battery. Usefully, there is a six-LED power-saving mode to help avoid that. At full power it wasn’t as bright as the best, but mounting options were a bigger worry. It can’t stand on its end and there’s only one hook and magnet.
