Recommended: If money was no object, this is the lamp we’d choose for our tool box. The 30 LEDs put out 1,000 lux of light, so the Ring has the joint best beam and you really notice this under the bonnet. The five-LED torch was effective and there’s a UV mode to help detect leaks. You get only one strong magnet in the base, but the two hooks and hinged head make it easy to direct the beam.
