Aluminium oxide powder is at the heart of this Autoglym scratch remover which, like our winner, makes steady progress with little risk of damage. It was just a fraction behind the Farecla on the ice scraper mark and wire wool swirl, removing the former at the second attempt. As the pack says, “it revives colour and shine”, leaving a glossy look at the end of the test. Usefully, the instructions advise varying the pressure to remove heavier marks or improve the finish.
