This small, skimpy rack works, but didn’t feel as robust as strap-mounted rivals – so we were often looking over our shoulders on test, checking it was still on. While it’s a universal rack, it would perhaps be best suited to saloon cars, where it has a surface to sit on, as we wouldn’t be happy with the fabric straps taking the full weight on a hatchback.
