This is our pick of the double-DIN all-rounders. Although it’s been on the market for some time, Sony packed the XAV602BT full of futureproof features at launch, so it’s still the best.

Its built-in TomTom software is handy for getting from A to B, but the nav capabilities don’t stop there thanks to the MirrorLink feature, which lets you emulate your mobile’s screen on the display – ideal for smartphone apps.

Not compatible with some aspects of the iPhone, which is a pity, but it worked well with an Android device.
