Fiat Stilo

Want to drive one of racing's most famous names? Then here is the car for you - the Fiat Stilo Schumacher! The new special edition, which is based on the Abarth hot hatch, has been built to mark Michael Schumacher's five consecutive F1 drivers' titles.

Revised suspension and cosmetic tweaks improve the hot Stilo, but really it's too little, too late. Fans of the German F1 star will snap up the 200 limited edition models, but discerning buyers can go faster for less by looking elsewhere.

Want to drive one of racing's most famous names? Then here is the car for you - the Fiat Stilo Schumacher! The new special edition, which is based on the Abarth hot hatch, has been built to mark Michael Schumacher's five consecutive F1 drivers' titles.

Two versions are available. In standard form, you get the 170bhp 2.4-litre engine from the Abarth, plus a unique bodykit, alloy pedals, Schumacher logos and a plaque on the dash.

Meanwhile, the GP version we drove also has 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and suspension tweaks by tuning firm Prodrive. A louder exhaust, lower ride height and stiffer dampers also improve the driving experience, but we feel the Stilo's rivals still provide greater enjoyment.

The Schumacher GP is undoubtedly more fun than the basic Abarth, but even the standard version costs £15,995, with the GP priced at £16,995. That's a £2,600 premium over the ordinary 2.4-litre model.
