Safest coupe: Peugeot 407 Coupe

Sleek and head-turning, the 407 Coupe is more than just a pretty face.

Peugeot 407 Coupe

There's no doubt about it – Peugeot's 407 Coupe is as safe as it is good looking! Put through its paces by experts at EuroNCAP the 407 Coupe scored a maximum five-star rating when it came to occupant protection and scored four-stars for chlld protection, thanks to neat ISOFIX-points on the rear passenger seats, putting it top of the class.

As standard, it comes with front, side, curtain and steering column airbags plus a whole host of dynamic safety systems including ESP, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) and traction control. That's in addition to a chassis, that while not the sharpest in its class, does offer decent handling and grip.
