Best supercars at Goodwood 2014

We take our pick of the Goodwood Festival of Speed supercar paddock including some of the most exotic road cars on the planet

By:Auto Express team
27 Jun 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed has got to be one of the only places in the world where turning up in a Ferrari LaFerrari doesn’t guarantee you the rarest car in the car park award.

But then being upstaged by a Koenigsegg One:1 or Spyker B6 Venator is nothing to be ashamed of because Goodwood is all about a mutual appreciation of the world of cars. Where else can you see a McLaren P1 following a one-off Ferrari F12 TRS at full throttle up a timed hillclimb?

Check out our gallery of some of the rarest, most exotic and most expensive supercars at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Then, once you've finished drooling, there's always our gallery of the best cars at Goodwood 2014 to get your teeth into...

  • Koenigssegg One:1

Named for its power-to-weight ratio, the Koenigsegg One:1 weighs 1340kg and produces 1340hp (or 1322bhp). It’s powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 and has a wild aero kit, boasting a top speed of around 280mph.

  • Pagani Huarya

Follow-up to the legendary Zonda, the Pagani Huayra is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 producing 730bhp. It looks mad enough standing still but as the various active aero flaps move about on the move, it’s even more hypnotic.&nbs

  • Ferrari F12 TRS

This special one-off Ferrari is based on the F12, using the same 6.3-litre V12, which produces 730bhp. The styling is apparently inspired by the 1957 250 Testa Rossa.

  • Porsche 918 Spyder with Martini livery at Goodwood

It takes a lot to stand out at Goodwood, so for when a standard Porsche 918 Spyder won’t cut it, bring a Martini-liveried one. With a combined power output of 875bhp from a V8 engine and electric motors, the 918 has the kind of perform

  • There’s something about Ferraris that always draws a crowd and the LaFerrari was drawing the biggest crowd of them all. Only 499 will ever be built so it’s only right that people clamber over this 790bhp, £1million hybrid hypercar.&nbs

  • Jaguar F-Type Project 7

The F-Type Project 7 isn’t just noteworthy because of its gorgeous D-Type inspired design. It also happens to be the fastest a

  • Arash AF8 Goodwood

Not one of the world’s best known supercar makers, but Arash is hoping that its new AF8 will take on the likes of the Ferrari 458 and the McLaren 12C. Power comes from a 7.0-litre V8, which produces 542bhp, and thanks to th

  • Dutch car manufacturer Spyker sees the B6 Venator as a model that can take on the Porsche 911. Power comes from a mid-mounted V6 engine, producing around 375bhp, but the gorgeous interior is arguably star of the show here.

  • Now McLaren has stopped building the 12C, the 650S is the cheapest car in the range. It’ll still set you back £195,000, though, and is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 641bhp. It can hit

  • Successor the McLaren F1 of the 1990s, the P1 takes on the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. Only 375 will be built and it uses a combination of electric motors and twin-turbo V8 to produce 90

  • It may just look like an R8 but this special LMX model is one of the world’s first production cars to come with laser headlights. There’s more to it than that, though, with power from the V10 engine upped to 562bhp.
