Volkswagen Fox 1.2

£89 per month PCP (7.9% APR)

Volkswagen Fox 1.2

WITH only £100 a month to play with, most of the cars in this bracket hail from the city car sector – but one deal has a lower monthly payment than the rest.

Volkswagen is offering a three-year PCP on its 1.2-litre Fox model that comes in well under budget. So, once you’ve forked out the initial deposit of £1,848, the firm’s entry-level car can be yours for £89 per month.

Better still, the wallet-friendly deal includes three years of free servicing, so maintenance costs should also be kept to a minimum for the duration of the plan.

At the end of the period, buyers have three options. They can choose to pay the final £2,795 instalment and keep the car, part-exchange it for another model, by putting any equity left after settling the finance towards a deposit for the new vehicle, or hand it back with nothing left to pay. The deal assumes an annual mileage of 10,000, while the APR is a reasonable 7.9 per cent. And the offer extends to the more expensive Urban Fox, too. It gets more equipment as standard, including body-coloured bumpers, a split folding rear bench and opening rear side windows. It is also available with Volkswagen’s more powerful 1.4-litre engine.

The Fox is a simple city car, but its no-frills approach, this deal’s low monthly payments and the promise of cheap insurance make it an ideal choice for image-conscious younger drivers.
