Top-secret Merc plays hide-and-seek

Visitors were given a fleeting glimpse... but the surprise star of Mercedes’ show stand is still top secret! A heavily disguised version of the E-Class saloon was driven on to the firm’s stage before disappearing behind a curtain. Official press photos featured the new car covered by a black sheet. Due in 2010, the E-Class will be available as a diesel-electric hybrid, while a similar S-Class and a petrol hybrid M-Class will also be offered.
