Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Detailing Spray

Spray-on shine from car care specialist

Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Detailing Spray

Price: £7.95 (500ml)

Dodo Juice has launched a new, water-based product to tackle bugs, tar and dirt on your bodywork. Detailing Spray is part of the new Basics of Bling range, and claims to clean and maintain shine.

The 500ml spray bottle is simple to use. Twist the locking mechanism, pull the trigger back and a sickly sweet-smelling mist comes out. The liquid is ready diluted for use straight away.

We squirted some on to our lightly soiled front bumper, and had no problems spreading it with a microfibre cloth. Then all we needed to do was buff the panel with the clean side of the cloth, and it produced an impressive shine.

There was no smearing, and the process is very quick – although you have to keep the nozzle fairly close to the bodywork to ensure you don’t use too much of the fluid.

At £7.95, it undercuts rivals such as our current favourite – Autoglym’s £8.50 Rapid Detailer – and for a light cleaner that shifts flies, bird muck or just summer dust, the Dodo Juice is a top buy.

Verdict

Rating: ★★★★
What is it?
Summer spray to keep dust and bugs at bay.
Problems?
Has to be used up close, can’t adjust spray pattern.
Why buy?
Keen price, good spray, removes light soiling.
