Tyre shine
We name the longest lasting shines on the market.

They're among the easiest and most instantly effective car care products to use, but tyre shines still need to last. Therefore, longevity was at the heart of our test, which was carried out over hundreds of miles during the wettest winter months. We also took into account price and ease of use in order to find our champion, and you can check out our full test here.
Our winner
CarPlan Tyre Slik
Price: £3.99
Contact: www.tetrosyl.com
Serial winner Tyre Slik has made this category its own, although it came close to losing its crown this year. Still, while the competition has caught up, it remains a class act, with ideal spray-and-leave application and a budget price. Plus, it remained visible after weeks of winter motoring.
Commended
Black Diamond Tyre & Trims
Price: £4.99
Contact: www.blackdiamondproducts.co.uk
There was no mistaking the Black Diamond section on our sidewalls, as it looked like the car had not been driven – despite having covered hundreds of winter miles. It was only at the end of our test that Tyre & Trims had to give best to our champion. Our trigger pack pick.
Turtle Wax Wet ‘n’ Black
Price: £4.99
Contact: www.turtlewaxeurope.com
Following up its success in our bumper shine category (here), Wet ’n’ Black completes the double here with another commendation. It wasn’t performing quite as strongly as the Black Diamond in the middle of the test, but recovered well and was still making a difference at the end. Versatile and effective.
