Christopher Ward C7 British Racing Green watches

Limited-run Christopher Ward watches celebrate a landmark anniversary for British Racing Green

To mark the 110th anniversary of the famous British Racing Green colour next year, watch maker Christopher Ward has launched three racing green timepieces.

The Swiss-made watches are based on the C7 Rapide Mark II, and have racing green faces but with different straps. Each has a 42mm case, 1/10th-second split timing and a tachymeter, and is water resistant to 10 metres.

Either side of the crown are buttons for the stopwatch, with a date window to the right of the face. Pick from leather or carbon-effect rubber straps, and a version with a stainless steel chain bracelet is £51 extra.

Only 300 British Racing Green chronographs will be built, and each comes with a 60-day no-quibble return policy and a 60-month warranty.

Christopher Ward has also become official timing partner to the Bluebird land speed record bid – due in 2014 – so expect a range of watches to coincide with this.
