The AA’s traffic app is accurate as it uses data from sat-nav giant TomTom. You can view jams on a map or get them on a route by entering two postcodes. Better still, you can set up regular journeys to get alerts before you set off. We’d like to see a ‘current location’ option for instant routing, but it’s free for a week, then £1.99 a year, which looks an absolute bargain. Roadwatch Pro is also available for Android and Nokia devices.
