This short-pile cloth does Autoglym no favours against longer-pile rivals. It did okay in our water-absorption test but, as with similar cloths from Halfords and Meguiar’s, the residue left after several wipes took a while to clear. This pricey towel is the only one here that needs cleaning by hand rather than popping in the washing machine.
