We wondered if we had set this up incorrectly, because our phone kept falling asleep, which was distracting.

We adjusted the settings and tried again. Even then, we weren’t sold on CamerAlert.

With a camera coming up, it let out little in the way of audio or visual warnings, and you had to look at the app closely to see it working.

Its map database is great, but as a package it’s flawed, especially for a relatively expensive subscription fee.
