This external box is powered by the 12V cigar lighter cable supplied, and relays digital radio either via its FM transmitter or through an auxiliary connection. We found the FM transmitter unreliable, so stuck to the in-line aux. Digital reception was okay; as with the Dension products, an external aerial could provide better reception, but this costs £14.99 more. Still, the Sonichi is cheap and easy to install. A sound budget option.
