This tubular guard from Sakura worked better than the mesh alternative from the same brand, but the results were still disappointing. Unlike the Halfords guards, support poles reach from the boot floor to the ceiling, so luggage space is compromised. Fitting it alone is tricky, as you need to hold it in place and secure the fixings at the same time. Even when the guard was fully fastened in place, it still didn’t feel secure.
