Inside this pack are the same Alite XM bulbs as found in the Halfords Extreme boxes, but they didn’t deliver similar performance for us. A keen price can’t help a beam pattern that was focused on the kerb, leaving a darker patch in the centre of the carriageway, hurting the centre 50-metre reading on one bulb. The overall effect was satisfactory, although it was a little darker than the beam from some rivals.
