Original equipment producer Carbox takes the victory here, with its well thought out FormMat. There are cut-outs for the Tiguan’s tie-downs, plus, crucially, pop studs to take the optional MultiMat (£19.95), which can be used as an anti-slip surface or flipped out to protect the bumper. Full protection for spills and a good result in the hammer impact protection test make the FormMat the winner.
