Supermini shoot-out

Few car makers have been as ambitious in 2009 as Hyundai. Little did we know back in January that, thanks to the Government’s Scrappage Scheme, the manufacturer would smash sales records before the year was out. But what was immediately clear was that its new i20 supermini was a class act. Bettering Skoda’s top-value Fabia was a big achievement, although the Hyundai couldn’t quite edge ahead of Ford’s brilliant new Fiesta.
