On the move, the Insight takes a little getting used to, but once you’ve adapted your driving style, it’s surprisingly good fun.

And while the cabin can’t match mainstream rivals for quality, it has lots of space, plus a huge spec – with climate control, alloys and ESP as standard. Many buyers will prefer traditional diesel or petrol power, but take a chance on the Honda, and you’ll get a hi-tech driving experience without high bills.
