A Renault Megane Knight Edition has been revealed. A special summer version of the Megane, the car is available to order now until autumn this year. Megane Knight models are available with either a 1.6-litre 16v petrol or a 1.5-litre 109bhp dCi diesel engine with start/stop technology.

Prices start at just £17,095 for the five-door petrol powered hatch, rising to £17,895 for the Sport Tourer. That makes it £350 more than the equivalent Expression+ model but for the extra you get dark chrome 16-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, thicker 'GT Line' bumpers front and back, rear parking sensors and electrically folding mirrors.

The standard car comes finished in Glacier white paint, but buyers can choose from a wider palette that includes, black, red and Blue hues in both flat and metallic. Every model gets the smart LED running lights from the 2012 range facelift and the diesel version emits just 90g/km of C02, which makes it exempt from road tax in the UK but now produces 20Nm more torque than before.

All Knight Edition Meganes also come with the excellent Renault 4+ aftercare package, which includes a four year warranty, free servicing and road side assitance from the AA and zero per cent finance.
