Facelifted Subaru Levorg GT Lineartronic announced

The Subaru’s WRX-based Levorg estate gets a fresh face, a new 2.0-litre flat-four engine and a CVT

Subaru has revamped its Levorg estate with updated styling, a handful of interior revisions, more safety equipment and a new 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-four engine. The updated model goes on sale in July this year, priced from £30,995.

Styling-wise, the facelifted Subaru Levorg gets a new front bumper, a fresh grille, updated LED headlights and revised LED fog lights, as well as a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. As this latest model’s engine features neither a turbocharger nor a top-mount intercooler, the old Levorg’s vented bonnet has also been replaced for a solid unit.

Inside, Subaru has given the dashboard, door cards and switchgear a minor overhaul, fitted a revised driver’s seat with power adjustable lumbar support and improved practicality with a new 40/20/40 split folding rear seat. The interior revamp is completed by a new seven-inch infotainment system, which now offers support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2019 Subaru Levorg offers a more comprehensive list of safety technology than the outgoing model. Updates include new front- and rear-facing cameras, adding to the old car’s existing adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring system and reversing camera.

It’s powered by a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-four petrol engine, producing 147bhp and 198Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT and Subaru’s Active Torque Split all-wheel-drive system, allowing a claimed top speed of 121mph, emissions figures of 167g/km of CO2 and fuel economy figures of 32.6mpg.
