2013 Vauxhall Adam pictures

 • The Adam is Vauxhall's answer to the premium superminis, offering more style and personalisation to take on the likes of the Audi A1, the Citroen DS3 and the Mini.

 • The Vauxhall Adam's styling however does not translate to an involving drive. The light steering does provide sharp turn-in through the corners, but the harsh ride does not suit UK roads.

 • The blend of small rear windows and thick C-pillars on the Adam means the £275 optional parking sensors will be worthwhile.

 • The Adam is available in three trim levels - Jam, Glam and Slam. There are three petrol engines on offer ranging from a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo, through to a 1.2 and 1.4. The higher performing Grand Slam model only comes with a 1

 • Front passengers in the Adam are well catered for on space, but those subjected to the rear will find there's less room available than that of the Mini.

 • There are 18 seat finishes to pick from for the Adam, with more than 20 trim insert colours and five rooflining options avaliable.

 • Numerous storage areas and cupholders are available for those sat up front in the Vauxhall Adam.

 • The Adam comes with plenty of standard kit, but the IntelliLink touchscreen infotainment system is a £275 extra though. This will allow owners to you upload various music and sat-nav apps.

 • Poor rear space means that the boot comes with a 170 litre boot with the seats up. The back seats are ore realistic for transporting shopping or luggage. The optional stereo upgrade reduces boot space even more with a subwoofer inst

 • The chrome ringed dials and leather steering wheel are all part of Vauxhall's efforts to improve the Adam's cabin atmosphere.

 • There’s huge scope to customise the Vauxhall Adam, but we'd always advise buyers to think of the residual values when speccing their car and avoid doing anything too outlandish, though.
