Vauxhall was quite late to the game with its Mokka – a small crossover designed to rival the likes of the Nissan Juke and Dacia Duster.

It gets a raised ride height and practical cabin, mated to a choice of petrol and diesel engines and the option of four-wheel drive. It’s stylish enough to look at, but can it beat the high selling Juke and bargain Duster on the road?

The 1.7-litre diesel is expected to be the best seller, and with 128bhp, gives a good mix of performance and economy.
