Here’s yet another Renault with a new face. The firm has released the first pictures of its revised Scenic.
But it’s more a case of evolution than revolution for the MPV, as the changes are little more than skin deep. Designers have facelifted the front end, introducing a new chromed grille and distinctive black headlight surrounds to keep the car fresh for 2009.
A new Team trim level is also on the cards. It will replace the existing Expression and Extreme specs, and feature kit such as chrome door handles, metallic paint and colour-coded door mirrors as standard. Inside, the Scenic Team benefits from air-con, a CD stereo, leather steering wheel, automatic handbrake and electric windows all-round.Prices will start at £14,495 – exactly the same as the outgoing Extreme model.
Renault will open order books for the new Scenic range next month, with the first cars due in the UK in November.
