Renault has annouced two F1 inspired editions of its popluar hot hatches. The flagship Renaultsport Twingo 133 and Clio 200 Silverstone GP cars are on sale now, with only 50 examples of each coming to the UK.
Designed to enter the range as track-focussed flagships, both cars get plenty of extra kit for only a small increase in price, with the Twingo coming in at £14,995 and the Clio at £19,995.
For that you get silver paint, 17-inch black alloy wheels, GP badging, special numbered plaques, and a Renaultsport performance logging computer to record lap telemetry, acceleration times and other data, and a free Silverstone trackday.
The Twingo also gets a new stainless steel performance exhaust, while the Clio benefits from a pair of Recaro sports seats up front, and each car sits on the super-stiff Cup Chassis as standard.

It seems Renault is doing the old Porsche trick, of bringing out another variation of its base model. Oh well....if it sells cars...great. If they put AWD on, that would be a significant change.
i really think they should turbo charge one of these little bad boys! or dump the new megan rs engine in it! then it can compete with the new Polo R and S1
