An £8 price hike since our last test does this jack no favours. It only takes 10 pumps to reach 20cm and lifting is easy. But there’s no safety advice on the chassis and the covered jack-handle-to-release-valve connection makes it tricky to align. It’s ideal for boot storage, as it’s compact and comes in a case, but you have to remove the carry handle before the lid closes.
