Carrera Gear Monster Truck

The cheapest radio-controlled car is here.

Carrera Gear Monster Truck
Overall Auto Express rating

2.0

Best price: £25

The cheapest radio-controlled car here, and although its build quality reflects this, it’s good value for money. The handling and performance are a bit lacklustre – as with the Carrera Red Bull car, the Monster Truck isn’t especially fast – although it’s agile enough to be fun. The body of the car is lifted high, so ground clearance is more than sufficient over tricky terrain. Its main selling point is the price, though, so it’s basic.
