BMW i3: long-term test review - pictures

We say goodbye to our long-term BMW i3. 

The load bay is totally flat when you fold the rear seats. 

A lack of prominent centre console means legroom in the front is great. 

You can move across to the other side of the cabin, should you wish to do so (not whilst driving). 

Screen on top of the luxury dash boasts ConnectedDrive, which allows you to stay in touch with the outside world. 

With its tall body, narrow stance and skinny tyres, the i3 is more at hoe cruising than attacking twisty back roads. 

The car's striking, futuristic design turns plenty of heads. 

Interior feels suitably upmarket, as it should considering the price. 

We like the i3 at Auto Express, but our car has been in the garage for weeks due to a warning light. But we found the service from Spire BMW in Highgate left a lot to be desired. 

Message appeared on the screen, but it took a month to sort the problem, and we still don't know what was wrong.

We had to plead for use of a courtesy car, and when we were given one, our man was told he was "very lucky" that he was given an entry-level MINI.
