Used Ford Fiesta (Mk6, 2008-2017) – What do owners think?

Owners love the way the Fiesta drives and its low running costs, but build quality could be better

The Fiesta has experienced a bit of a rough ride in our annual Driver Power satisfaction survey. Finishing a respectable 52nd overall in 2015 it had slumped to a poor 105th overall in 2016, the last year the seventh generation car appeared. Most of the complaints centred on poor build quality, with trips to the dealer needed to rectify various niggles.

Reliability

While it’s not as solidly constructed as rivals such as the VW Polo, the Fiesta is a dependable choice. Despite its lowly overall score in our 2016 poll, the Ford was rated an excellent 18th overall for reliability. Better still, almost any garage can repair the Blue Oval machine, while parts are plentiful and inexpensive.
