New Jeep Renegade Upland Special Edition launches from £36,500
Jeep has revealed a new version of its Renegade SUV, complete with a 237bhp plug-in hybrid powertrain
It may be almost a decade old, but the Jeep Renegade has just been given a boost to help keep it competitive in the small SUV sector with this; the new Upland Special Edition.
Available to order now, the Renegade Upland Special Edition gains bronze finishes in the cabin with the front speakers, air vent surrounds and seat stitching all finished in the shade. The seats also gain bronze patterns and there’s ‘Techno-leather’ wrapped around the steering wheel.
The Upland Special Edition is based on the Limited trim level and costs the same at £36,500. It comes with cornering fog lights, LED headlights with automatic high beam assist and black roof rails. Exclusive exterior paint options are available, consisting of Alpine White, Black, Colorado Red, Shade Blue and Sting Grey. Each one, aside from Black, can be paired with a two-tone black roof.
Inside, there’s the same seven-inch driver’s display you’ll find on the standard car and a 8.4-inch central touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Forward collision warning, active lane assist and adaptive cruise control are all standard-fit safety features.
There’s no change to the powertrain - it’s the same 237bhp 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol found in the more powerful version of the Renegade 4xe, with a 11.4kWh battery pack and electric motor driving the rear wheels for plug-in hybrid capability.
