New Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition unveiled with 567bhp

The exclusive Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition is assembled by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team, and gets a new vented carbon-fibre bonnet

Land Rover has pulled the wraps off a more generously equipped version of the 567bhp Range Rover Sport SVR, called the Ultimate Edition. The new SUV will make its official debut on the company’s show stand at Salon Privé in Blenheim Palace this September.

It’s built by the Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department and comes with a range of cosmetic tweaks, including a choice of three model-specific paint finishes. The new SUV is available to order now, priced from £123,900.

Styling revisions over the standard Range Rover Sport SVR include black 22-inch forged alloy wheels, black brake calipers and a new vented carbon-fibre bonnet. The car’s badges and exterior brightwork have also been swapped for gloss-black replacements.

Land Rover’s new paint schemes include Maya Blue Gloss and Marl Grey Gloss. Both have reflective glass flake particles mixed through the base-coat, and Land Rover says this gives “an intense star-like sparkle”. The third option is satin-black finish, and every colour comes with a contrasting black roof as standard.

The cosmetic changes continue inside, with buyers getting black anodised metal paddle shifters, model-specific illuminated tread plates and unique chrome “SV Bespoke” badges mounted on the B-pillars. There’s also a pair of lightweight SVR-badged sports seats trimmed in a blend of leather and faux-suede upholstery.

Like the standard Range Rover Sport SVR, the Ultimate Edition is powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, which develops 567bhp and 700Nm of torque. Land Rover says that’s enough for a 0–62mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 176mph. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which sends drive to all four wheels.
