Volkswagen Transporter Sportline 60 marks 60 years in the UK
The Volkswagen Transporter van has spent 60 years in Britain and the Sportline 60 special edition has been launched to celebrate
Volkswagen is celebrating the Transporter van’s 60th UK birthday with a special-edition model called the Sportline 60.
The Sportline 60 replaces the existing Transporter Sportline model and offers a similar high-spec sporty option for commercial vehicle operators.
Prices start from £29,940 before VAT, and it’s available as a kombi or panel van in short and long-wheelbase versions.
Standard equipment includes sat-nav, a DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, plus parking sensors and a reversing camera, and it comes in Reflex Silver or Deep Black metallic paint schemes.
Power comes from Volkswagen's impressive 2.0 BiTDI engine which offers 178bhp and 400Nm of torque for muscular performance. Both six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG automatic gearboxes are available.
