NDrive Touch XL sat-nav

Price: £129.99 Contact: 0845 762 6625, www.halfords.co.uk

The more kit you cram into a sat-nav, the fatter it gets, right? Well, it’s not the case with this new NDrive system, as the only thing large about it is the display!

The Touch XL features a superb 4.3-inch widescreen, and offers aerial photographs of your location, as well as 76,000 points of interest.

It’s exclusive to Halfords – which is currently knocking £70 off the £199.99 regular price – and claims to create maps six times quicker than most rivals.

Route calculation is said to be twice as fast as other sat-navs, too. Speedy software means the Touch XL quickly works out the shortest, most direct and best route, whether you are walking or driving.

You can search by postcode, street name and point of interest or, using the advanced search tool, get photos of your destination, or an E-mail address and phone number.

An 8GB SDHC card is included, while there’s support for up 32GB – so there’s lots of space to import favourites from Google Maps.
