The bigger version of the Generator does not work as well as a glovebox torch. It has the same remarkable stamina – we reckon much more than Ring claims – as its sibling, but the triple LED beam isn’t so effective. The torch is also harder to store and more prone to rolling. But we like the charging and battery-level indicators along with the hand-shaped plastic casing, with grippy inserts.
