Bulky Medion’s touchscreen is responsive, and a stylus makes entering destinations easy. There’s a flexible arm and suction cup mount, but the cradle is huge, and when firing up, you have a lot to take in. Glare is an issue with the reflective screen, too, plus it’s not instantly clear how to get back to the menu from the map – it soon becomes obvious. As you select options, there’s a reassuring click, nearby POIs can be displayed on the same screen as the map and it plotted our Glasgow and France trips in 10 and 11 seconds respectively. Features a fingerprint reader and Sudoku game, but we’d like live traffic – the TMC works only with the bulky aerial.
