AA Road Atlas Britain 2014
A4-sized AA offering is bulky compared to rivals as it’s packed with all sorts of useful info, like city guides and route planners. It also provides the best A4 scale, at 3mpi. But complex junctions are merely illustrated with a circle in the body of the map. Misses out on a podium as there’s no bookmark – unlike the A-Z and Michelin – and it’s littered with ads for other AA services, all for the same price as an A3 atlas. Still a good buy, though.
