Road Pilot
Overall Auto Express rating

3.0

Best price: Free trial | Subscription: £4.99 (1 year) | Available for: iOS/Android

This app will inform you of any camera and the type well in advance via a voice alert. The countdown bar is handy, while the menus are easy to navigate. However, Road Pilot dropped marks because it flagged up one camera that didn’t exist and missed another. The speed accuracy was good, and it constantly shows the limit, but it stumbled a couple of times on roads where the limit changed from 30mph to 40mph. There are live updates and you can add camera locations, plus the app gives you a driving score, so you can track your driving style over time.
