Heavy duty is the name of the game here. Premium S2 steel is used throughout on this Clarke Pro set, and it’s hard to imagine how you could break these screwdrivers. Their stems run from the tip through to a large nut at the base, so even tough levering won’t break the handle.

The full-height stems also withstand hammering, which ensures the tip is properly home in the screw head. The cast-in nuts allow high torque to be applied, which is just as well, as the stippled, somewhat rounded, handles become painful if gripped hard.
