Widely acclaimed Google Maps covers nearly all bases, as it’s also appeared in our sat-nav apps and route finder group tests. Yet it’s a worthy contender. Some features are a little blunt – like its restrictive zoomed-out view and inability to download maps – but it’s reliable and free, plus you can use this as a sat-nav once your route is determined.
