Deal of the Day: a brand new Audi Q8 with twenty grand - yes £20,000! - off

One of the biggest discounts we’ve seen for a while, on one of Audi’s biggest models, is our pick for October 16

Audi SQ8
  • SQ8 hot SUV with a saving of £20,306
  • Top-of-the-range Vorsprung model lists at £114,945
  • Discount takes it down to £94,559

Huge discounts on new cars are definitely back - especially when that car is Audi’s range-topping SUV, the Q8.

The Q8 SUV in V8-powered SQ8 form is available through car broker DriveTheDeal with a whopping £20,306 discount, taking the list price down to £114,945.

The SQ8 sits beneath the RS Q8 in the sporting Audi SUV line-up, but in our review of the SQ8 we said it risks making the RS Q8 look redundant with similar pace, more comfort and a lower price - especially with this discount.

Although this deal is through a broker, you’d be dealing direct with their chosen Audi dealer and the cars – all with Daytona Grey pearl-effect paint - are in stock now with free delivery in England.

To qualify for the full twenty-grand discount you’ll need to buy on a PCP with Audi finance at 11.2 per cent APR representative, because that amount includes a £6,500 deposit contribution from Audi. But even if you opt for a cash deal, there’s still a hefty £15,886 discount.

The SQ8’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 500bhp, which powers the car through Audi’s legendary Quattro four-wheel drive system. The 0-62mph sprint takes just 4.1 seconds, rivalling many supercars. Yet the SQ8 offers real luxury and comfort for up to five people, while it’s practical, too, with a 605-litre boot.

When it comes to kit, there’s very little this car doesn’t get. 22-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, soft-closing doors, adaptive cruise control and a host of safety features are all included.

What we love most about the SQ8 is how it blends performance and agility with ride comfort - something many other sporting SUVs struggle with. What we’re less keen on is the average economy of 23.5mpg - the price you pay for that stunning performance.

As with all our deals of the day, these are great deals our expert, independent editorial team have spotted on cars we like from companies we trust. But as with all deals, they’re correct at the time of going to press and may not last for long.
