Rolls-Royce Ghost

Rolls-Royce Ghost
A legendary name returns to the Rolls-Royce line-up in 2010 – the Ghost is back! And while it’s 44cm shorter than its enormous Phantom stablemate, the newcomer is definitely no baby.

At well over five metres long, and weighing in at 2.4 tonnes, the Ghost is still a huge car, although as we found out in Issue 1,094, it looks great in the flesh. Under the bonnet lies a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 which produces 563bhp and 780Nm of torque. That’s enough punch for a 0-60mph time of less than
five seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph.

Traditional rear-hinged coach doors open to reveal a sumptuous interior that oozes luxury and refinement. The cabin blends classic and modern touches,
with violin key switches, eyeball vents and the finest materials mixed with a cabin control system based on BMW’s iDrive set-up. However, while the electronics are sourced from Rolls’ German parent, every switch is unique to Bentley. It all adds up to a car that costs £193,000 – and it goes on sale in January.
