Used Hyundai i20 (Mk2, 2015-2020) review - What do owners think?

The Hyundai i20 Mk2’s reliability record is respectable, if not exceptional. There’s appeal in the long warranty cover, though

Reliability-wise, the Hyundai i20 Mk2 makes a good case for itself as an ownership prospect. Performances in our Driver Power owner satisfaction surveys have been consistently decent, and at the time of writing the car has yet to be subject to a safety recall. Younger examples also benefit from retaining some of their original five-year warranty cover should they develop a mechanical fault.

Reliability

Based on its most recent performances in our Driver Power surveys, the Hyundai i20 Mk2 has a good reliability record. In the final appearance as a new car in the 2020 edition, the car was rated 68th out of the top 75 cars for reliability, with 4.2% of owners saying their car had experienced some sort of fault. If you opt for a newer i20 Mk2 example, there is some solace in knowing the car is still covered by its five-years, unlimited mileage manufacturer warranty.
