New range-topping Nissan Juke Shiro joins the line-up, featuring a few visual upgrades

Nissan has just released details of the Juke Shiro, a range-topping model that replaces the Kuro limited-edition Juke.

Shiro is the Japanese word for white and, although the exterior is available in a range of colours, the interior is marked out by a few white pieces of trim. The centre console, door panels and window switch surrounds are all finished in white.

Additionally, the leather covered armrest comes with white contrast stitching and there are illuminated chrome door sills and Juke-branded floor mats.

Shiro models all come fitted with 17-inch alloys finished in dark grey, satin silver door handles and mirrors, and a gloss black B-pillar.

Based on Tekna trim level, Shiro Jukes start from £17,695 and can be specified with a 108bhp 1.5-litre diesel, 115bhp 1.6-litre petrol and the range-topping 1.6-litre turbo with 187bhp.

Deliveries of the Nissan Juke Shiro will start from 1 March 2012.

I love the white bits inside but the new gear knob looks cheap. I believe that's the same one from the Nissan Note?

Overall I nice package but not sure whether it could be justified pending price confirmation. There's bound to be a premium for the badge.

Horrid console

This was on my list of cars to consider purchasing but I couldn't live with the centre console, it felt really cheap with the shiny plastics everywhere, apart from that it was a nice car and comfy.
