Revive! mobile car repair service review

Revive! took only four hours to repair scuff on our Hyundai i20. The price was reasonable, too

Price: From £65

If pricey bodyshop quotes have put you off getting your car repaired, mobile company Revive! claims to offer the ideal solution. We tried it out.

Revive! estimated £100 to repair a cosmetic graze on our Hyundai i20’s bodywork – far cheaper than the £500 quote we got from a workshop. The Revive! van arrived for our appointment on time and all we had to do was give our technician Terry access to a plug socket – plus a cup of tea – to get started.

He only needed one parking space to work in, and his van had a canopy to protect our car from the rain while he worked. On seeing the graze, Terry explained that it required more work than originally thought – and that the job would cost a bit more – but spelled out exactly what he’d do and got to work.

First, he mixed our car’s paint solution with the help of a laptop in the back of his van. Then, he started stripping the paint back to bare metal using a sander. The new paint was expertly layered on with a spray gun, before he left it to dry with some infra-red heaters. Finally, the clearcoat was added.

The job took four hours, and as you can see, the finish is perfectly blended, with no evidence of the repair. And all for a very reasonable £125.
