The Blaupunkt got off to a flying start with its USB sockets to the front and rear and TMC traffic information.

While this isn’t the best looking package on test, you get full iPod integration, an SD card slot and a CD drive, plus the navigation screen is similar to that of the Alpine.

But we didn’t find the New York 800 the easiest to use, and the price was too high to challenge our top two products.
